    IMS Tri Mechanical’s Mobile Stor Hoppers have been redesigned for additional strength along with more standard configurations and options. The enlarged leg size provides additional stability and strength when stacking. Mobile Stor Hoppers offer the convenience of small volume temporary storage with the added benefit of rugged material transportation between work sites within your facility. The space saving, square and stackable design saves valuable floor space.

    Hopper and Framework: The body is constructed of 14ga steel and uses a 7ga formed stacking pad on each leg. The frame base includes two-way 12 gauge fork pockets.

    Welding Specification: All product contact welds are continuous and ground to remove irregularities. All non-product contact welds are stitch type, but continuous where required for strength, and ground to remove irregularities.

    Surface Treatment: All non-product contact surfaces are sandblasted or solvent cleaned and painted with IMS Tri Mechanical metallic blue enamel paint.

The system is designed to rotate the container to a maximum of 45° from horizontal. The operator manually loads the container into the system, at floor level, using a fork lift truck or pallet- jack. The system is designed to begin to rise automatically when the remaining weight in the container reaches approx. 900 lbs. All the remaining material is directed into one corner resulting in complete product removal with minimal operator involvement. During the tilting operation, IMS’ optional patented Safety Stop keeps your operators free from harm by eliminating the potential for the cradle to unexpectedly lower due to a pneumatic system failure.

    • Capacity and Dimensions: IMS’ pneumatic tilt table is designed to support the full weight of the container up to a maximum of 2,500 pounds. The system has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,500 lbs., which is factory preset at approx. 900 pounds to avoid material spillage, with a total rotation of 45°. The footprint of the system is approx. 71″ wide x 52″ deep in the load position and 72” wide x 80” deep when in the maximum tilt position.
    • Framework: The system is constructed of formed 7ga steel. The main framework includes all necessary mounting brackets for the standard and optional devices. The pivot carriage includes an adjustable vacuum pick-up wand holder.       The holder is designed with a 3-1/2” id and features 12” of adjustment to accommodate various container heights.
    • Load Design: The container is loaded, at floor level, using a pallet jack or fork lift truck into the 44” w x 44” d bucket of the tilt table. The standard pivot carriage is designed to accommodate containers up to 48” square x approx. 60” tall.
    • Welding and Finish Specifications: The equipment is constructed of carbon steel stitch welded (continuous where required for strength) and ground to remove irregularities.       The equipment will be sandblasted (or solvent cleaned), primed and painted with IMS Metallic Blue Industrial Enamel.
    • Pneumatic Control System: The system will include a complete pneumatic control system for all devices. The system will be provided with a manual 3-position air valve. The hand valve is mounted to the pivot carriage of the system and includes all necessary filter regulators, and a single supply connection.

    Any molding operation that is feeding its molding machines, mixers or blenders from gaylords with pneumatic pick-up tubes needs to have this floor level tilter. It will allow each gaylord to be completely drained without risk of running dry, causing bad mixes or empty hoppers. Rugged construction assures years of trouble-free service. The material is pulled into the vacuum chamber and is held momentarily while the weight is added to the accumulator register. The vacuum chamber does not dump its contents until the accumulator acknowledges receipt of the added weight. In normal operations, the chamber is filled by time using the station timer in the vacuum loader panel. The cyclone is used to separate the plastic material from the conveying air. The material enters the cyclone through the tangential material inlet. The air is evacuated through the gas exhaust at the top of the cyclone. The plastic material spins in the cyclone and discharges out of the bottom.

    Gas Exhaust Filtration

    Dust particles can be carried over with air at the gas exhaust outlet on the cyclone. Three levels of filtration are available as standard options with Foremost Cyclones.

    The first is a simple cotton Type “E” draw string filter bag which mounts directly to the gas exhaust outlet. The second is a single bag hanging filter bag. A 35 to 40 micron 7 oz Enamelion duck filter bag is hung off a horizontal scroll with a 90 degree elbow.

    Safety Dump Valves

    If these bags are not regularly emptied the material accumulated in these bags can weigh several hundred pounds. This weight, and the elevated location of some bags, can sometime make it difficult to reach and handle the bags while cleaning them out.

    To help overcome this problem, Foremost has developed a valve for installation on the bottom of the filter bags. This valve will automatically dump material out of the bag when the weight of accumulated material inside exceeds a pre-set value. A drum or gaylord positioned under the valve is used to collect the dumped material.
